What Happens When It's Your Turn to Receive the Pot

Sousou Admin1 min read

When your round comes up, you’re the one receiving the pot—the sum of everyone’s contributions for that round. Here’s what to expect and how to make it go smoothly.

You’ll see it in the app. Sousou shows whose turn it is and how much they should receive. Members see the same information, so they know to send their contribution to you (or to the agreed collection point) by the due date.

Agree how you’ll receive the money. Your group might send money to your bank account, hand you cash, or use another method. Make sure everyone knows where to send it and by when. If you prefer a specific account or method, say so before the round starts.

Track who has paid. As payments come in, the admin (or you, if you’re tracking) can record them in Sousou. That way you know who has paid and who to remind. Follow up politely if someone hasn’t paid by the due date.

Use the pot as you planned. Whether it’s for a goal, an expense, or to smooth your cash flow, you’ve earned it by contributing in previous rounds. Enjoy the benefit and keep supporting the circle when it’s others’ turn.

Receiving the pot is the payoff for your earlier contributions. Clear communication and a shared record in Sousou help make sure you get the full amount on time.
