How to Contribute on Time (And Why It Helps Everyone)

Sousou Admin1 min read

In a savings circle, your contribution isn’t just for you—it’s for the person whose turn it is to receive. Paying on time shows respect and keeps the circle fair for everyone.

Use the app. Sousou shows you when your payment is due and who’s waiting for it. Turn on reminders if the app supports them, or set a calendar event for a day or two before the due date.

Pay the same way every time. If your group uses a specific bank account or payment method, stick to it. That makes it easier for the recipient to recognise the payment and for the admin to record it.

Confirm when you’ve paid. Let the circle admin or recipient know once you’ve sent the money. That way they can mark it in Sousou and the next round can move forward without delay.

If you can’t pay on time, say so early. Life happens. If you see a problem coming, tell the group as soon as you can. Many circles can handle a late payment or a swapped order if everyone agrees—but only if they know in advance.

When everyone contributes on time, the circle runs smoothly and trust stays high. Your turn to receive will come; paying on time ensures others get their turn too.
