Real Stories: How Our Users Run Their Sousou Circles

Sousou Admin1 min read

Every circle is different, but hearing how others use Sousou can spark ideas for your own. Here are a few patterns we see.

Family circles. Relatives in different cities run a monthly circle. They use the same amount and a fixed order (e.g. by birthday). One person coordinates and records in Sousou; everyone pays by the 5th of the month. The pot helps with school fees, travel, or a treat. The app keeps the record so no one has to chase spreadsheets.

Workplace groups. Colleagues who trust each other run a small circle. Contributions are modest; the pot is a bonus when your turn comes—for a holiday, a purchase, or an emergency. The admin sends a reminder a few days before the due date; payments go to the recipient’s account. Simple and clear.

Community organisations. A neighbourhood group runs several circles. Each circle has a steward who creates the circle in Sousou and invites members. The organisation doesn’t hold money; it just promotes the idea and helps people join. Sousou does the tracking so stewards can focus on people.

What these have in common: clear rules, a dedicated person (or two) keeping the record, and a group that values the commitment. Sousou supports that; the trust and the habit come from the group.
